INFORMATION ABOUT INSURANCE

  • By the resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund, the maximum annual interest rates on bank deposits insured by the Fund are set at up to 12% for deposits in AZN and up to 2.5% for deposits in foreign currency. As of April 5, 2021, in the event of an insurance case, compensation will be paid in the amount of 100% of the insured deposit in each member bank, but not exceeding 100 (one hundred) thousand AZN.

  • Starting from February 1, 2023, annual interest income earned on deposits of individuals is subject to income tax in accordance with the Tax Code.
