"Yapı Kredi Bank Azerbaijan" CJSC Concludes 2019 with Profit

In the report of "Yapı Kredi Bank Azerbaijan" CJSC disclosed at the end of 2019, it is possible to see the Bank’s strong financial stability.

The Bank increased its net profit for 2019 in a steady upward trend and closed the year with a profit of AZN 4 million. One of the Bank’s positive indicators for 2019 is the instant liquidity ratio at the level of 48%. It should be noted that the established norm for this indicator is 30%. 

Having international experience in the banking sector, Yapı Kredi Bank Azerbaijan ensures sustainable development by applying advanced standards in liquidity management. In 2019, compared to 2018, Yapı Kredi Bank Azerbaijan increased its assets to AZN 428.6 million. In line with the priorities set out in the Strategic Road Maps for supporting the real sector, Yapı Kredi Bank Azerbaijan continued its financing activities in the non-oil sector and increased its loan portfolio by 7.6%, reaching AZN 187.3 million. In particular, the volume of loans to business entities increased by 15.7% compared to 2018, reaching AZN 130 million. The Bank’s capital indicators are quite satisfactory. 

Compared to the end of 2018, the Bank’s Tier 1 capital increased by 8.76% to AZN 66.6 million, while total capital increased by 3.64% to AZN 72.8 million. During the same period, the Tier 1 capital adequacy ratio increased to 30.1%, and the total capital adequacy ratio rose to 33%. Notably, these figures are several times higher than the minimum requirements set by local regulations. 

It is worth mentioning that with its main shareholders being Koç Holding (Turkey) and UniCredit (Italy), Yapı Kredi Bank Azerbaijan is a member of a banking group operating in many European countries. Currently, the Bank provides a wide range of services in the Azerbaijani banking sector through its branches in Baku and Sumgayit, a 24/7 Call Center (*0444), and Internet/Mobile Banking products.
