Yapı Kredi Bank Azerbaijan CJSC Concludes 2022 with Profit.
Yapı Kredi Bank Azerbaijan CJSC has announced its financial results for 2022. The Bank, which successfully concluded the previous year, recorded a net profit of AZN 1.153 million.
Compared to the previous year, the Bank’s interest income increased by 18% to AZN 26.2 million, and non-interest income grew by 31.3% to AZN 18.9 million. In total, net interest income reached AZN 24.1 million in 2022.
Financial results show that, compared to 2021, the Bank’s total assets increased by 22.1% in 2022. As a result, the Bank’s total assets amounted to AZN 481.9 million for the reporting period.
Customer demand for the Bank’s consumer and business loans was reflected in its financial performance. Compared to the end of the previous year, the Bank’s total loan portfolio increased by 35.5% to AZN 236.9 million. Business loans rose by 44.3% to AZN 169.2 million, while the consumer loan portfolio—offered with consideration for customer needs—increased by 12.8% to AZN 45.3 million.
The Bank’s commitment to providing high-quality service and a personalized approach to both entrepreneurs and individuals further strengthened customer trust. As a result, the deposit portfolio grew by 27.6% year-on-year, reaching AZN 363.9 million. Deposits from individuals rose by 17.9% to AZN 80.8 million, while deposits from legal entities increased by 30.7% to AZN 283.1 million.
According to 2022 figures, "Yapı Kredi Bank Azerbaijan" CJSC fully met the prudential norms set by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan. By the end of the reporting period, the Tier 1 capital adequacy ratio stood at 26.6%, and the total capital adequacy ratio at 28.1%. The bank's total capital after deductions amounted to AZN 75.1 million. It should be noted that, according to applicable laws, the minimum total capital requirement is AZN 50 million.
