Yapı Kredi Bank Azerbaijan Provides Further Support to Low-Income Families and Families of Martyrs

26 fevral 2026

Yapı Kredi Bank Azerbaijan has supported five low-income and martyr families by providing them with the necessary equipment to start their own businesses.

In September, the Bank presented essential equipment to two martyr families — Samaya Jafarova and Saida Jafarova — to help them realize their business initiatives in tailoring. Notably, Saida Jafarova is the mother of Yunis Aliyev, who was martyred in the Second Karabakh War, and Samaya Jafarova is the mother of martyr Vugar Jafarov.

In October, the Bank provided Nushravan Shukurov, a veteran wounded in the Second Karabakh War, with the equipment needed to open a doner shop.

Also in October, Yapi Kredi Bank Azerbaijan supported two more low-income families in starting their business activities. Thus, to enable Rufat Mammadov to turn his long-practiced art of embroidery into an entrepreneurial activity, the Bank provided him with the necessary equipment.  To enable Rugiyya Pashayeva to turn her delicious homemade sweets into a source of income, the Bank provided her with the equipment required to establish a pastry workshop.

By joining the Memorandum of Cooperation signed between the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, and the Azerbaijan Banks Association to support the self-employment of low-income population groups, Yapı Kredi Bank Azerbaijan has, since May of last year, supplied dozens of low-income families with all the equipment necessary to start their own businesses. The Bank places special emphasis on supporting families of martyrs who lost their lives or veterans who were injured during the Patriotic War. As part of its social responsibility projects, the Bank will, in the coming months, continue contributing to the realization of business initiatives for several more low-income families.
