Financial Results of “Yapı Kredi Bank Azerbaijan” CJSC for Q1 2020 Announced
The Bank’s total equity increased compared to the same period of the previous year. Specifically, the Bank’s total balance capital rose to AZN 80,393,000, and, in order to strengthen its risk management policy for issued loans, provisions for possible losses created as of the reporting date amounted to 44 million AZN.
The Bank’s total deposit portfolio amounted to AZN 263 million. The volume of demand deposits of individuals and legal entities increased by 12 million AZN compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
At the end of the first quarter of 2020, the Tier I capital adequacy ratio of Yapı Kredi Bank Azerbaijan increased by 64% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, reaching 37.8%, while the total capital adequacy ratio rose by 56% to 38.9%. Bank’s leverage ratio also rose in the first quarter, reaching 18.2%. As a result, the Bank’s capital adequacy ratios were significantly above the regulatory standards set by the supervisory authority.
At the end of the first quarter of the current year, the Bank’s loan portfolio increased by 10 million AZN compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, reaching 173 million AZN. According to the results of the first quarter of 2020, the Bank’s total capital currently amounts to 72 million AZN, while the minimum total capital requirement under the applicable laws is 50 million AZN.
