Yapı Kredi Bank Azerbaijan CJSC Increases Loan and Deposit Portfolios in 2021
In the fourth quarter of 2021, "Yapı Kredi Bank Azerbaijan" CJSC increased its total loan portfolio by 17%, with business loans in particular showing a 22% increase. The corporate loan portfolio grew compared to the same period last year, reaching AZN 117 million by year-end 2021, with the non-oil sector dominating the portfolio’s economic sector structure.
The Bank’s total deposit portfolio amounted to AZN 285 million. The volume of demand deposits from individuals and legal entities increased by 15% compared to the same period of the previous year.
As of year-end 2021, the Bank’s total capital after deductions stood at AZN 74.3 million, exceeding the statutory minimum capital requirement of AZN 50 million.
The Bank’s total assets grew to AZN 395 million during 2021. In Q4 2021, the Tier 1 capital adequacy ratio reached 33%, and the total capital adequacy ratio stood at 34%. As a result, the Bank’s capital adequacy ratios were significantly above the regulatory standards set by the supervisory authority. For reference, the Central Bank mandates a minimum total capital adequacy ratio of 10%.
