General information

Yapı Kredi Bank Azerbaijan OJSC obtained a banking license from the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan under the name Koçbank Azerbaijan LTD on January 11, 2000, with license number 243 for engaging in banking activities.

In September 2005, Yapı Kredi Bank A.Ş. in Türkiye also became part of the Koç Financial Services Group.

Since the beginning of 2007, Koçbank Azerbaijan LTD has continued its operations under the name "Yapı Kredi Bank Azerbaijan" OJSC. The change of the bank's name is related to the merger of the founding structure (Koçbank) with another partner bank (Yapı Kredi Bank). 

Currently, Yapı Kredi Bank Azerbaijan offers products in the Retail and Corporate sectors of banking. Yapı Kredi Bank Azerbaijan OJSC, whose shareholders include Türkiye's most reputable holding company, Koç Group, aims to enhance existing global banking practices in line with the needs and expectations of Azerbaijani citizens and to contribute to the development of the country's banking sector.

In September 2012, the Bank introduced Worldcard, one of the world's top 10 credit card brands, to Azerbaijani customers, and shortly thereafter launched innovative products such as Internet Banking and Mobile Banking.

The Bank's governing structure consists of the General Assembly of Founders (Shareholders), the Supervisory Board, the Audit Committee, and the Board of Directors. 

Yapı Kredi Bank Azerbaijan OJSC is a subsidiary of Yapı ve Kredi Bank A.Ş. (Türkiye).

Since the beginning of its operations, Yapı Kredi Bank Azerbaijan has introduced several new products in both retail and corporate sectors of banking and has received multiple awards in recognition of its services:
