Yapi Kredi Bank Azerbaijan CJSC has completed Q2 of 2020 with a profit
Yapi Kredi Bank Azerbaijan CJSC has completed Q2 of 2020 with a net profit of AZN 471.59 thousand, despite the current situation with the pandemic.
According to the Bank's report for Q2 of 2020, net interest margin amounted to AZN 13.5 million. Herewith, the Bank's operating profit for the specified period amounted to AZN 6.5 million.
Yapi Kredi continued to apply the global banking experience in Azerbaijan and as a consequence, won the trust of its clients. Thus, the Bank's loan portfolio amounted to AZN 159.4 million; loans for real estate increased by 12% compared to the end of last year.
The Bank's capital indicators are quite optimistic. Compared to the same period last year, following the results of Q2 of 2020, the Bank's Tier I capital increased by 7% and reached AZN 71 million, and the total capital increased by 2% and amounted to AZN 73.3 million. The Tier I capital adequacy ratio and the total capital adequacy ratio increased to 39.5 and 40.7%, respectively. Also, the Bank's leverage ratio increased by 42% compared to the same period in 2019 and amounted to 19%. It should be noted that these indicators are several times higher than the minimum local legislation requirements.
To prevent the spread of the COVID-19, the Bank has provided its customers with a wide range of digital alternatives to a variety of banking transactions, thereby protecting both its employees’ and customers’ health.
