1. Antivirus software

You should upload to your computer at least one licensed antivirus or "anti-spyware" software against the spy applications for secure use of Internet.   You should update regularly the virus descriptions mentioned in this software and check viruses in your whole system at least once in a week.  If you use unlicensed software, then these virus checks have great importance to catch spy applications and thus be protected from dangers entering from Internet. 

2. Individual Brandmower (Firewall) application

Individual Brandmower (Firewall) applications can check network traffic directed to your computer.  By this check, you can impede dangerous virus/Trojan/spy applications to enter into your computer. 

3. E-mail security

Don’t open e-mail (especially e-mails with attached) which enter from unknown persons; Do not open e-mails which looks like sent from your Bank, require password/user code /financial data/account number/credit card or bank card number or update of your personal data.  We would like to remind you that as a Bank, in no case we will ask you to update data or password by e-mail.   You can help us to protect you from fraudulent cases, by not opening such fake e-mails, in no case providing the required data and kindly inform us about this case within the short length of time.

4. Operation system

Windows is an operation system which is mostly used in market.  Regardless of the type of your operation system, operation systems are also required to be updated regularly as the antivirus applications (for removal of security gaps detected later).  We kindly ask you to consider implementation of updates regularly.

5. Physical security of your computer

Security of the computer which is used for the Internet Banking is very important.  While using Internet Bank service, you should not leave your computer. If any other persons use your computer, then you should be assure that these persons also pay the same attention to protect security.

6. Password use

It is very important that while defining Internet Bank password, you should not create a password from combination of figures which can be easily estimated or shouldn’t change regularly the password.  You should also pay attention that this password should not be same with the other password used for Bank.          

You shouldn’t write your  password or user code into your computer or any place at any physical location, should not put into your pocket, shouldn’t tell anyone or not forget that your Bank recognizes you with this password and user code.

7. Smart Password Use – One-time password technology

YapıKredi Azerbaijan presents you Smart Password for your İnternet Banking security.  A special one-time smart password may be created for you during the each use of any Smart SMS and Smart Key products. Thus, you may provide two-step security.

8. Virtual keyboard against the threads widely spread such as phishing (sending via e-mail) and spy apps

The most widely spread security threads for Internet Bank customers emerge from password and data update requirements received from fake e-mails or spy applications deployed in computer without user’s information.  Some of these applications, for example, Keylogger app can deliver the use of each keyboard key to the spy users with the same row.  

Use of virtual keyboard at Internet Banking services is one of the steps taken for provision of effective protection against such threads spread widely.  Such threads have been critically decreased through the information provided to our users on e-mail security and via the help of antivirus / Individual Brandmower (Firewall) software.

9. General security parameters

There are general security parameters in our Internet Banking services.  If you want to set these parameters according to your requests and habits, you can deactivate your accounts for money transfer transactions or limit the locations or the time needed for Internet connection (for example, you can use only home computer and only evenings).  You can get all applications from “Security Parameters” menu. 

10. General instructions for use

Use licensed software in your computer.
Make sure that applications downloaded from Internet and to be installed in your computer do not contain virus.

Close the screen window with “Secure Exit” instead of clicking X in order to finalize in most safe way the use of Internet Banking service.   

Control regularly your account operations and expenditures on credit card.
Do not upload into your computer the applications received from unknown source and pay special attention to application in “exe” format.  

If you make Internet connection via ADSL, disconnect it when you do not use Internet.  

Do not make your Internet Bank transactions through the computer which is public to everyone and you are not sure about its security.   

Do not click e-mail attachments received from unknown person or company and do not upload attached files into your computer.   

If you want to connect to any web page, include personally the web page address into the row address of your Browser.
